Brantford Police Service Launch New and Improved Website

Jun 7, 2017

The Brantford Police Service has launched a new and improved redesigned website, www.brantfordpolice.ca.
The new contemporary design and site-wide navigation changes were designed to help visitors find the information they need faster and easier.

Highlights of the website include a robust "I am looking for??" search feature,  GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Public Crime Mapping program, On-line reporting, On-line Police Background Records Checks, our Brantford Police Service YouTube channel and user friendly website.

The most significant changes can be seen on our home page. The changes were based on direct requests from our users as well as statistics that were analyzed from our most visited pages. Our home page features direct links to our daily crime briefs, tweets and career section.

On-line reporting can be completed from the comfort and convenience of your own home. On-line reporting is available 24/7 and benefits the community by; instantly providing an occurrence number for insurance purposes, the ability to add information after initially reporting it and allowing our officers to focus on higher priority calls for service occurring within the community. Incidents that can be reported on-line where there are no suspect(s) are;

  • Damage to Vehicle (other than by collision and under $5000)
  • Lost or Stolen Driver's License
  • Stolen Vehicle Plates
  • Theft (Under $5000)
  • Lost Property (Under $5000)
  • Mischief/Damage to Property (Under $5000)
  • Theft from Vehicle (Under $5000)

We are excited to announce that our new website is a responsive web site, which allows community members to access and utilize services that are available on the website from any mobile device they choose.

Finally, our website offers an RSS feed (Rich Site Summary) which is a special form for delivering regularly posted web content to whoever subscribes. To receive automatic updates on all our latest news and crime prevention tips visit our links page at www.brantfordpolice.ca.
