Online Reporting
The Brantford Police Service is reminding citizens who are using the online reporting system to report crimes to please include as much information as possible.
When a vehicle is entered and identification and/or credit cards are stolen please include all articles stolen in the report. The BPS also encourages all victims of stolen identification to reach out to Equifax Canada & TransUnion Credit Bureaus to find out if identification has been used to open bank accounts, obtain credit cards etc.
Stolen identification and/or credit cards can cause issues months down the road which could negatively affect your credit report profile so it is important to provide as much information as possible.
