Brantford Inmate Escapes - Incident #20650-17

UPDATE
David George GOYIT was in custody for Breach of Conditions offences. GOYIT was arrested on May 25, 2017 on an outstanding warrant for charges of Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation. These offences stem from original offences involving property related crimes for thefts and frauds.
Although the original offences had no acts of violence present, the Brantford Police Service still advise the public that if GOYIT is seen, do not approach and call 911 immediately.

On June 5, 2017, at approximately 9:40 a.m., there was an altercation between an inmate and Brantford Police Special Constables who were supervising as inmates were being loaded into a custody transport vehicle from the Brantford Jail. During the altercation with another inmate the accused, David George GOYIT, 33 years of age of Brantford escaped custody. At the time, David GOYIT?s legs were shackled. He is a white male, 5?7?, 162 pounds with a brown Mohawk style haircut. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweater, with the inside of the hood being green, grey pants and dark shoes with white soles. GOYIT is wanted for escape lawful custody.
If seen, do not approach and call 911 immediately.
