Location: Grey Street  
Incident: On Tuesday October 30, 2018 just after 8:30 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a call about a disturbance outside a residence on Grey Street.  An unknown male and female were seen arguing out front when the male hit the female with a crutch.  The male then hit and damaged a vehicle with the crutch.   The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result if the incident.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the male and female involved.  The male was arrested without incident.  A 25 year old Brantford male is charged with Assault and Mischief to Property Under $5000.00.

Location: Salisbury Ave  
Incident:  On Tuesday October 30, 2018 just after 9:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 91-1- call from a residence on Salisbury Ave.  Unknown person(s) had thrown a rock through the front window of the residence and fled the area.  Community Patrol Officers attended and checked the area.

Location: Hogarth Road   
Incident: On Tuesday October 30, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Hogarth Road.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) smashed the passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the driveway.  Reported stolen were sunglasses.

Location: Dante Cres 
Incident: On Tuesday October 30, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a report of a theft from a vehicle on Dante Cres.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into the vehicle and stole a pair of sunglasses and a GPS Unit.

Location: Coulbeck Road
Incident: On Tuesday October 30, 2018 Brantford Police Service received two separate reports regarding thefts from vehicles parked on Coulbeck Road.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into the vehicles and stole sunglasses, GPS Unit, iPod tools and money.

? Ensuring doors are always locked and windows are fully up
? Park in well-lit areas
? Never leave money or other valuables in plain sight
? Take electronics, including your cellphone with you
? Put shopping bags and other parcels in the trunk
? Ensure GPS Units are put in a safe, out-of-sight locations or taken out of the vehicle
? Keep personal documents, vehicle registration certificate and proof of insurance on you
? Don?t leave your car running unattended

On Sunday October 28, 2018 just after 4:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a disturbance at a residence on Mohawk Street.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the address where they located a 37 year old male victim who was suffering from stab wounds.  The victim was transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services.  The victim received non-life threatening injures and is recovering. The suspect and victim are known to each other.   
The BPS ? Major Crime Unit has continued to investigate this incident and as a result of the investigation Tom Quinton SHADE 36 years of age of Brantford is wanted by the Brantford Police Service for charges in relation to this incident. The BPS is encouraging Tom Quinton Shade to contact us in regards to the investigation.
SHADE is described as a non-white male, 5?8?, 190 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes with a tattoo of a marihuana leaf and dice on his inner right forearm.  He was last seen in the area of Mohawk Street, Brantford.
 
Due to the nature of the incident the Brantford Police Service is asking that the public not approach the suspect and use caution if he is seen.

Suspicious Male Identified and Faces Charges

Brantford Police have arrested and charged a male in relation to the incident in the downtown area yesterday.
On Tuesday October 30, 2018 Brantford Police Service investigated an incident where and unknown male was seen pointing what appeared to be a toy gun at security cameras,  buildings and at a City of Brantford employee in the downtown area of Brantford. 
A 36 year old Brantford male was identified as being the person responsible and has been charged with Criminal Harassment and Breach of Recognizance. 
The BPS would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this investigation.

Emily is described as a Caucasian female, 5?5?, 150lbs, long brown hair and blue eyes.  She was last seen wearing blue jeans, long sleeve black shirt and sometimes wears glasses.   She was last seen this morning in the area Grand Street, Brantford. 
The Brantford Police Services wishes to confirm Emily?s wellbeing.

Crime Brief - October 30, 2018

Location:  Hayhurst Road  
Incident: On Sunday October 29, 2018 just after 10:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Hayhurst Road.  A male had attended to the residence where he got into a verbal argument with his sister.  During the argument he spit and punched his sister in the face.  When he left the residence he started to cause a disturbance outside, smashing property.  Neighbours came out to see what the commotion was and were confronted by the male.  During the confrontation the male picked up a piece of wood and hit the neighbours with it and then proceeded to throw children?s playset at them.  All three victim?s received non-life threatening injuries.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located and arrested the accused without incident.  Investigation revealed that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions.  A 31 year old Brantford male is charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon x3 and Breach of a Court Order.  The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Henry Street  
Incident:  On Sunday October 28, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a report of a Break and Enter to a business on Henry Street.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into the secure compound of the business and broke into a number of work trailers.  It was unknown what was taken at the time of the report.

Location: Brantwood Park Road 
Incident: On Monday October 29, 2018 just before 4:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received an alarm from a business on Brantwood Park Road.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the business where they located the front window of the business smashed.  An unknown person(s) had smashed the front window and entered the business.  Reported stolen was money.

Location: Mohawk Street 
Incident: On Sunday October 28, 2018 just before 4:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle travelling on Mohawk St.  Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke to the female driver.  While speaking to the driver, Officers observed signs of intoxication.  The driver was given a demand to provide a sample into a roadside screening device.  The driver failed the roadside screening device and was arrested.  The accused was transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to provide samples of her breath as required by law.  The accused samples were over the legal limit.  A 27 year old female from Ohsweken is charged with Operate Motor Vehicle ? Over 80 of the Criminal Code of Canada.  Her driver?s licence has been suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Crime Brief - October 25, 2018

Type:  Break and Enter - Commercial
Incident: 18-42271
Location:  Street   
Incident: On Thursday October 25, 2018 just before 4:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received an alarm call from a business on Grey Street.  Community Patrol Officers attended and observed damage that had been caused to the business and entry had been gained through a smashed window.  It appeared as if a vehicle had been driven into the business to gain entry.  The business contained tools, machinery and welding equipment.  Officers checked the area and located a truck that was parked out front of a residence on Wellington Street with damage to the rear of the vehicle.  A male was seen unloading equipment and machinery from the back.  When the male observed police he fled on foot into the residence.  Investigation revealed that the truck was stolen and had been used to break into the business.  Officers attended the residence and in attempting to arrest the male he resisted and attempted to grab one of the officer?s firearms from its holster.  The accused was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service.  A 33 year old Brantford male has been charged with Theft Over $5000, Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Break and Enter, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, Assault Police with Intent to Resist Arrest, Breach of Probation, Disarming a Peace Officer and Mischief Over $5000.  The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Clarence Street 
Incident:  On Wednesday October 24, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a report of a theft from a business on Clarence Street.  An unknown male had attended to the business where he was observed by Loss Prevention Officer concealing items in a reusable shopping bag.  The male then left without making any attempts to pay for the items.  The male was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the business where the accused was arrested without incident.  A 30 year old Brantford male is charged with Theft Under $5000.

Location: Dalhousie Street 
Incident: On Wednesday October 24, 2018 just after 10:30 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a report of an unknown male who was causing a disturbance in the downtown area.  The male was yelling and screaming and had been seen kicking the tops off phone and hydro boxes, kicking at doors and windows of business and was carrying around a wooden club.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the male.  Officers attempted to arrest the accused who resisted and spit at the Officers.  Investigation revealed that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions.  A 34 year old Brantford male is charged with Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Cause a Disturbance and Breach of Probation.  The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Two People Charged With Trafficking After $25,000 Worth of Cocaine Seized

On October 23, 2018, the Brantford Police Service Street Crime Unit and the Woodstock
Police Service Criminal Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit, concluded a joint
investigation into the trafficking of cocaine.  As a result of the investigation, 2 parties
were arrested and a search warrant was executed at a residence in Brantford.  
   
The investigation resulted in the seizure of cocaine, with an estimated street value of
$25,000.00, a large quantity of Canadian currency and recovered stolen property. 
 
Accused #1 a 68 year old Brantford male has been charged with Possession of Property
Obtained by Crime and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 under the Criminal
Code.  He is further charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine)
under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. 
Accused #2 a 28 year old Ingersoll woman is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with Undertaking under the Criminal Code.  She is also charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
