BPS Arrest and Charge Armed Suspicious Male
As a result of the investigation into reports of an armed suspicious male in the area of St. George Street and House Ave on September 14, 2020, Brantford Police Service now have a suspect in custody.
A 30 year old male from Brantford has been arrested and is charged with the following under the Criminal Code:
•WEAPONS DANGEROUS
•POSSESSION OF FIREARM WHILE PROHIBITED
•BREACH OF PROBATION
•FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH UNDERTAKING

On Monday, September 14, 2020 at approximately 5:45 pm, Brantford Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding reports of a suspicious male with a firearm in the area of St. George Street and House Avenue.
Community Patrol Officers attended to the scene and, with assistance of the BPS K9 unit, conducted a thorough search of the area. Officers were unable to locate the reported male.
Police do not believe that there is an immediate threat to public safety. As the investigation is active and ongoing, further information is not available at this time.
