Type:               Impaired – Alcohol   

Incident:          19-15555

Location:        Park Ave           

Incident:          On Tuesday April 30, 2019 at approximately 11:45 p.m. Brantford Police Service received information about a possible impaired driver in the area of Park Ave.  The vehicle was last seen driving away from the area.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they observed the vehicle in a parking lot of a business on Colborne St.  As Officers pulled into the parking lot, the vehicle started to drive away and pulled back onto the roadway.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the female driver.  While dealing with the driver Officers observed signs of impairment.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to provide samples of her breath as required by law.  The accused samples were over the legal limit.  A 46 year old Brantford woman has been charged with Operation While Impaired and 80 Plus under the Criminal Code.  Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

 Location:       Victoria Street        

Incident:          On Wednesday May 1, 2019 just before 4:30 a.m. Brantford Police Service received information about a possible impaired driver in the area of Icomm Drive. The vehicle had been observed in the parking lot of a business on Icomm Dr and was seen leaving the area.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they observed the vehicle on Colborne St.  Officers observed the vehicle swerving on the roadway and performed a traffic stop.  Officers spoke to the female driver and observed signs of impairment.  The driver was given a roadside screening device demand.  A sample was provided and the driver registered a fail.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to provide samples of her breath as required by law.  The accused samples were over two times the legal limit.  A 44 year old Mississauga woman has been charged with 80 Plus under the Criminal Code.  Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Incident:          19-15313

Location:        Conklin Road      

Incident:          On Monday April 29, 2019 Brantford Police Service received a report of a Break and Enter to a construction site on Conklin Road. Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into a construction site and entered a trailer.  Reported stolen was a number of tools.           

 

Type:               Disturbance

Incident:          19-15396

Location:        Darling Street      

Incident:          On Monday April 29, 2019 at approximately 6:30 p.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence on Darling Street.  A relative had attended to the residence and started to yell and scream and was causing a disturbance.  Residents were able to get him outside where he proceeded to grab a brick from the walkway and threw it them.  The male fled the area on foot.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located and arrested the accused a short distance away.  Information was received that the male was currently on a court order with conditions. As a result of the investigation a 26 year old Brantford male has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Recognizance.
