BPS Drugs and Weapons Investigation Sees Arrest of Armed Male

On Tuesday May 5, 2020, members of the Brantford Police Service conducted an arrest of an armed person in relation to an ongoing drugs and weapons investigation. Police then executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search warrant at a residence on Alfred Street in the City of Brantford. As a result of the investigation the following items were seized:
A semi-automatic handgun
Ammunition
250 grams of suspected cocaine (approximate street value of $25000)
Prescription medication
$5000 in cash (approximate)

Three persons were charged in connection with the investigation.

28 year old Enrico CALLENDER of Hamilton stands charged with:
1.Unauthorized possession of a firearm, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
2.Knowledge of an unauthorized possession of a firearm, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
3.Possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
4.Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
5.Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (two counts).
6.Possession of Firearm contrary to Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
7.Possession of ammunition contrary to Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
8.Careless storage of ammunition, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
 
A 19 year old female from Hamilton stands charged with:
1.Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to 5 (2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (two counts). 
2.Careless storage of ammunition, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. 

A 27 year old female from Brantford stands charged with:
1.Possession for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to 5 (2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
2.Careless storage of ammunition, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
