BPS Investigate Gunshot Wound From Overnight Incident

On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m., members of the Brantford Police Patrol Section responded to an incident after a 17-year-old female victim attended the Brantford General Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.
 
The victim has since been transferred to a regional trauma center.  Injuries are considered serious; however, she is in stable condition.
 
Members of the Brantford Police Service Major Crime Section, along with Forensic Services entered into an investigation, which led police to the area of Waterloo Street and Pearl Street, Brantford. 
 
There continues to be a police presence in the area, and officers will likely be on scene for the next few hours. Additional information will be released once available.
