Incident: 20-12000
Location:   Veterans Memorial Parkway
Incident: On Sunday March 29, 2020 just after 1:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a single motor vehicle collision on Veterans Memorial Parkway and Mount Pleasant Street.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the scene where they located a rolled over vehicle and the driver.  While dealing with the driver Officers observed signs of impairment and he was arrested.  The driver was assessed by Emergency Medical Services and transported to hospital as a precaution.  The accused subsequently provided samples of his breath as required by law.  The accused samples were 3x the legal limit.  A 24 year old Mississauga male has been charged with Impaired Operation and 80 Plus under the Criminal Code.  The accused licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Incident: 20-12188
Location:   Locks Road
Incident:On Monday March 30, 2020 just before 11:00 p.m. Brantford Police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a firearm and altercation at an address on Locks Road.  Three males had attended to the residence in order to conduct a drug transaction.  During the transaction an argument ensued and a physical altercation broke out with members from the residence.  During the altercation one of the accused males from the vehicle brandished a firearm and pointed it at the residents.  The three suspects fled the area in a vehicle. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the victims who were not injured as a result of the incident.  With the assistance of the O.P.P. the three suspects were located and arrested without incident.  As a result of the investigation police located and seized, a replica .357 magnum handgun, a .22 caliber restricted handgun (with defaced serial number), .22 caliber ammunition, marihuana (approx. $6,000 street value), hash (approx. $400 street value), psilocybin mushroom (approx. $2000 street value), Canadian currency, digital scale and fraudulent identification.  As a result of the investigation three males are facing the following charges:

An 18 year old male from St Thomas
-Robbery with a firearm CCC
-Point firearm CCC
-Unauthorized possession of a firearm CCC
-Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm CCC
-Tempering with serial number of a firearm CCC
-Careless storage of a firearm CCC
-Possession of Weapons dangerous CCC
-Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm CCC
-Possess identity document CCC
-Possession – Cannabis Act

A 17 year old male from London 
-Robbery with a firearm CCC
-Point firearm CCC
-Unauthorized possession of a firearm CCC
-Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm CCC
-Tempering with serial number of a firearm CCC
-Careless storage of a firearm CCC
-Possession of Weapons dangerous CCC
-Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm CCC
-Possession for the purpose CDSA

Location:Colborne Street East
Incident:On Monday March 30, 2020 just after 11:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a suspicious person on Colborne Street.  An unknown person had been seen looking through vehicle windows and had broken into a shed at the rear of a residence.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located and arrested the male without incident.  Investigation revealed that the accused was in possession of break and enter instruments and stolen property.  Further investigation revealed the accused to have been in possession of a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen to police.  The accused was also found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and crack cocaine.  The accused was currently on a court order with conditions that he was contravening.  A 41 year old Brantford male is charged with:
-Possession of stolen property over $5000.00 CCC
-Possession of stolen property under $5000.00 CCC
-Possession of Break-In Instruments CCC
-Breach Probation CCC
-Theft Under $5000.00 CCC 
-Possession of substance CDSA x2
 
Type:Theft and Drugs
Incident:20-12138
Location:Colborne Street East
Incident:On Wednesday April 1, 2020 just after 2:00 a.m. Brantford Police responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a suspicious person on St Paul Ave.  Two unknown people were seen looking into and at vehicles on St Paul Ave.  One of them was seen crawling underneath a parked vehicle and began to do something to the vehicle.  Prior to police arrival the suspects fled on foot.  Community Patrol Officers attended to and searched the area where the suspects were located hiding in the rear yard of a property on Dufferin Ave.  Investigation revealed that the two suspects were in possession of Break-In Instruments including a sawzall that they were using to cut off the catalytic converter of the parked vehicle.  Further investigation revealed that one of the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions.  A 38 year old Brantford male is charged with Mischief Under $5000, Theft Under $5000, Trespass at Night and Possess Break-In Instruments under the Criminal Code.  A 42 year old Brantford female is charged with Mischief Under $5000, Theft Under $5000, Trespass at Night, Possess Break-In Instruments and Breach of Probation.
