Three Males Charged With Firearm Offences

Brantford Police have arrested and charged three males with firearm related offences after an investigation at an address on Wellington Street.
On Wednesday November 7, 2018 just after 7:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a disturbance at an address of Wellington Street.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the address where they were advised that the parties inside were in possession of firearms.  Officers were able to safely investigate the incident and arrested three males that were found in the residence.  Officers conducted a search of the residence where they located two firearms.  A loaded 40 caliber semi-automatic and a loaded 45 caliber semi-automatic handguns were located and seized.
Accused #1 Ohaje Taitt a 22 year old male from Brantford is charged with Possession of Firearm/Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order, Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm/Ammunition, Careless Use of Firearm/Weapon/Ammunition, Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Careless Use of a Firearm/Weapon/Ammunition and Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition. 
Accused #2 Jahquon Fagan a 22 year old male from Brampton is charged with Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Careless Use of a Firearm/Weapon/Ammunition, Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Careless Use of a Firearm/Weapon/Ammunition and Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition. 
Accused #3 Akeem Richards a 21 year old male from Brantford who provided false information during the investigation is charged with Possession of a Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Careless Use of a Firearm/Weapon/Ammunition, Tampering with Serial Number of a Firearm, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Careless Use of a Firearm/Weapon/Ammunition, Possession of Prohibited/Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Obstruct Peace Officer and Fail to Comply with Recognizance x2 under the Criminal Code
