Brantford Police Continue to Investigate Homicide on Colborne Street East

The Brantford Police Service continues to investigate a homicide which occurred earlier yesterday morning at the Galaxy Motel on Colborne Street East, Brantford.

On Saturday February 8, 2020 at approximately 5:50 a.m. Brantford Police Service responded with Emergency Medical Services to a call regarding a male who was suffering from a gunshot wound at a motel on Colborne Street East. Community Patrol Officers attended to the motel where they located three male victims who were suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The three victims were transported to hospital. A 42 year old male has since succumbed to his injuries while two males in there 20’s remain in hospital. 

Members of the Brantford Police Major Crime Unit are currently investigating the incident. The area will be closed to the public for some time as the investigation continues. This incident is not believed to be a random act of violence.

Composite Sketch of Armed Robbery Suspect Released

Brantford Police are releasing a composite sketch of an armed robbery suspect.
 
On Tuesday January 14, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a robbery at a business on King George Road.  Two unknown males had entered the store and forced three employees to turn over an unknown number of cellular devices.  The two suspects were armed with a handgun and a knife while a third remained outside in a vehicle.  Customers who were in the store at the time were able to safely exit.  One of the employees received minor injuries as a result of the incident.  

The Brantford Police Service - Major Crime Unit has continued to investigate this occurrence. As a result of the continued investigation police are releasing a composite sketch of one of the suspects involved.

January 10, 2020
Brantford Police Service is continuing to investigate after an armed robbery.  

On Thursday January 9, 2020 at approximately 7:40 p.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a robbery at a business on King George Road.  Three unknown males had entered the store and forced the two employees to turn over an unknown number of cellular devices.  One of the suspects brandished a firearm during the incident.  One of the employees was physically assaulted during the incident and received non-life threatening injuries.  Customers who were in the store at the time were able to safely exit.
