SIU Invokes Mandate After Motor Vehicle Collision

On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were on patrol when a vehicle without operational headlights was observed on Wayne Gretzky Parkway.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, however the vehicle failed to stop for police as required by law. 

The vehicle was then involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Grey Street.

Two female occupants were transported to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The collision is currently under investigation by the Brantford Police Service Traffic Unit.
 
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have video footage of the incident is asked to contact Constable K. Renzini at 519-756-7050 ext. 2212.
 
As the individuals attempting to evade police were involved in the collision, the Brantford Police Service have notified the province’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As such, Brantford Police Service will be unable to provide further information or comment related to the incident.

Man facing arson charges after apartment building fire

One man is charged with arson after an apartment building fire occurred this weekend. 
 
On Sunday, December 26, 2021, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Brantford police received an emergency call for service in relation to an active fire occurring at a Fordview Court apartment building. 
 
Members of the Brantford Fire Department worked to quickly extinguish the fire.
 
As a result of the incident, the apartment building was evacuated, and two elderly persons were taken to hospital where they received treatment for smoke inhalation. 
 
Officers with the Brantford Police Service, along with the Ontario Fire Marshal and members of the Brantford Fire Department attended the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
 
Investigation of the scene revealed suspicious activity and, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the accused was located and charged.
 
As a result of the investigation, Kenneth Gordon SHERGOLD, 65, of Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
Arson-Own Property 
Arson-Disregard for Human Life 
 
The accused was held pending bail.

Man facing aggravated assault and weapons charges after stabbing

A 26-year-old man faces multiple charges after a serious assault and stabbing sends a 35-year-old man to hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021, members of the Brantford Police Service patrol section responded to an assault. A 911 call was received indicating two men were involved in a physical altercation outside a Darling Street residence. One male victim was reported to have been stabbed.
 
Upon arrival, police located the male victim who was transported to a nearby trauma center with life threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
 
A male suspect was located by police and taken into custody at approximately 6:00 a.m. Information received by police indicates the accused is in violation of a valid probation order.  
 
Due to the severity of the injuries, members of the Brantford Police Services Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation. 
 
The accused, Daniel Joseph Cote, 26, of Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
Aggravated Assault
Weapons Dangerous
Breach of Probation Order

The accused was held pending bail.
 
The accused and the victim were known to one another. Police are not looking for any other suspects. There is no threat to public safety.

CRIME BRIEF: December 23, 2021

Location:          Nelson Street

On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police were dispatched to attend a disturbance at a Nelson Street residence.
 
Information was received that a physical altercation involving two men and two women was in progress.
 
Officers arrived on scene and observed one man fleeing the location. After a short foot pursuit, officers caught the man.
 
Information was received indicating that the man was wanted for outstanding charges with the Brantford Police Service. As a result, he was placed under arrest.
 
A search incident to arrest found approximately 26 grams of suspected Fentanyl in the accused’s possession. The drugs have an estimated street value of $6,567.
 
Officers also received information to advise that the accused was in violation of a valid probation order.
 
As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following:
  • Obstruct Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Breach of Probation contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

On Saturday, December 18, 2021, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers providing safety spot-checks at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) spot-check located on Mount Pleasant Road observed a suspected impaired driver.
 
While interacting with a driver, officers observed signs of impairment and a roadside screening device was utilized, which registered a fail.
 
The accused was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation and was required to provide samples of his breath as per law. Both samples provided were over the legal limit.
 
As a result of this investigation, a 59-year-old man of Brantford, stands charged with:
 
·        Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration
 
Additionally, a licence suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.

Location:          Marlborough Street
 
On Saturday, December 18, 2021, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter at a church located on Marlborough Street. Members of the church had found a man sleeping within the church. Additionally, several electronics inside the church were reported to be damaged.
 
Arriving on scene, signs of forced entry were observed by the officers. The suspect was placed under arrest.
 
Search incident to arrest, located several personal items determined to be the property of members of the church in the possession of the suspect.
 
As a result, the accused, a 23-year-old man of Brantford (No Fixed Address) stands charged with the following Criminal Codeviolations:
  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence
  • Mischief under $5000
 
 

 
 
Type:                  Possession Stolen Property / Assault

Location:          North Park Street
 
On Friday, December 17, 2021, at approximately 3:15 a.m., community patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service observed a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of North Park Street and Owen Court. The vehicle attempted to evade police however, the roadway the suspect had turned down was a dead end.
 
Information received by police indicated the suspect vehicle had previously been reported as stolen.
 
When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the male driver and female passenger attempted to flee the area in the stolen vehicle by ramming the police cruiser several times. The driver also drove across the front lawn of a nearby residence, creating damage and disregarding the safety of both officers and residents.
 
The suspects surrendered to police and were taken into custody at approximately 3:20 a.m.
 
Search incident to arrest found the vehicle’s identification number (VIN) had been tampered with. Additional VIN plates were located in the suspect’s possession. 
 
As a result of the incident, Brayden KING, 18, of Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Tampering with vehicle identification number
  • Fail to remain
  • Assault police officer with intent to resist arrest
  • Mischief under $5,000
 
Additionally, Reese Makena HESS, 19 of Ohsweken, stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Tampering with vehicle identification number

Incident:           21-49099
Location:          Colborne Street
 
On Thursday, December 16, 2021, at approximately 4:00 a.m., patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service observed a vehicle travelling on Colborne Street East towards Wayne Gretzky Parkway at a high rate of speed. The motor vehicle failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Colborne Street East and Wayne Gretzky Parkway.
 
Officers conducted a traffic stop, and once they approached the vehicle, found the driver’s seat empty. One female occupant was seated in the front passenger seat and another female occupant was seated in the rear passenger seat. Through investigation it was determined that the woman seated in the rear was the driver of the vehicle.
 
Officers observed signs of intoxication and a bottle of liquor was observed within reach of the driver.
 
The accused was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation and transported to provide samples of her breath as required by law. Both samples provided were over the legal limit.
 
Information received indicated that the accused was operating a motor vehicle in violation of four valid licence suspensions.
 
As a result of this investigation, a 31-year-old woman from Brantford, stands charged with the following:
  • Operation while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Drive under suspension  x 4 contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
  • Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available contrary to the Liquor License Control Act
 
Additionally, the accused will face an additional licence suspension and the vehicle impounded as per law.


BPS Seek Suspect Information in Stabbing Incident

Brantford police seek information from the public in an effort to identify six suspects involved in a stabbing.

In the early hours of Tuesday, December 14, 2021, officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a stabbing that occurred in the area of Dalhousie Street and Market Street.  

As a result of the incident, a male was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.  

Investigation has determined that five males and one female are responsible for the stabbing. The six suspects are yet to be identified.  

The suspects were observed leaving the scene in a dark-coloured compact SUV.

Shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 members of the Brantford Police Patrol Section responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred in the area of 350 King George Road.

Police received information that four suspects were involved in the robbery and one of the suspects was armed with a firearm.  The suspects entered into a business and obtained an unknown amount of property from the business. 

Suspect descriptions:

#1 – Male, Caucasian, medium build, shaved head, wearing dark pants, black shoes, and a black t-shirt, grey face covering.

#2 – Male, medium build, wearing grey toque, black sweater, black pants, black shoes with orange soles, black gloves and black face covering.

#3 – Male, Caucasian, medium build, blue jeans, black shoes, light blue sweater, black jacket with hood, black baseball hat and dark and white patterned face covering.

Police also received information a vehicle was involved in the armed robbery.  Police are searching for a stolen 2020 Acura MDX, 4 door SUV, silver in colour, with Ontario licence plates CRST424 attached.  Police are asking the public for assistance in locating this vehicle.  If located, please call 911 and do not approach the vehicle as a firearm was involved in the robbery.

CRIME BRIEF: December 15, 2021

Location:          Colborne Street

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service observed a suspicious vehicle within a parking lot in the area of Colborne Street and Lynnwood Drive.
 
Officers approached the running vehicle, observed a man in the driver’s seat who was slumped over the steering wheel. 
 
In an effort to confirm the well-being of the driver, officers woke the man. When speaking with the accused, officers observed signs of impairment. Drug paraphernalia was observed in clear view. The accused was then arrested for Operation while Impaired.  

The accused was brought before a Drug Recognition Expert for evaluation where it was determined he was impaired by drug.

Search incident to arrest located the following: 
  • Approximately 14.8 grams of suspected Cocaine, with an estimated street value of $1,480
  • Approximately 7 grams of suspected Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $1775
  • Brass knuckles 

As a result of the investigation, a 51-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following: 
  • Operation While Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code
  • 2x Trafficking in Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 

Additionally, a license suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.

Location:          Clarence Street South

Officers with the Brantford Police Service seek suspect information related to a recent gas station robbery.

On Friday, December 10, 2021, at approximately 4:15 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a robbery which had occurred at a gas station located on Clarence Street South.

A lone male entered the store, showed a knife, and demanded money from the store employee. After receiving a small amount of currency, the suspect fled on foot heading northbound on Clarence Street.
 
The employee was not physically injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, wearing a grey hooded jacket and used a grey bandana to cover his face. Additional suspect details are not available.

The Brantford Police Service K-9 Unit was utilized in an attempt to track the suspect however, the suspect remains outstanding.

Location:          Colborne Street and Clarence Street

On Monday, December 6, 2021, at approximately 5:10 a.m., patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service were approached by a witness who observed vehicle that had been stopped at a traffic signal for several cycles without moving. The driver of the vehicle was observed slumped over the steering wheel, appearing to be in medical distress. 

Officers approached the driver's side window of the running vehicle, and observed the male driver and a passenger, both slumped over in their seats. After several attempts, officers were able to wake the driver.

When speaking with the accused, signs of impairment were observed. The accused was then taken into custody without incident. 

Search incident to arrest, located the following items in possession of the accused: 
  • Approximately 7.25 grams of dried Cannabis  
  • A small amount of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine
  • Identification documents (not lawfully belonging to the accused) 
 
The accused submitted to a Drug Recognition Expert Examination, where it was determined that he was impaired by drug.

Additionally, a search of the vehicle incident to arrest located an additional 795 grams (approximately) of dried cannabis. 

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following: 
  • Operation while impaired (drug) contrary to the Criminal Code 
  • Possession of an Identity Document contrary to the Criminal Code 
  • Possession of a Controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 
  • Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana- Over 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 
  • Have Care or Control of Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available contrary to the Cannabis Control Act 
  • Green Light- Fail to Proceed contrary to the Highway Traffic Act 

Additionally, the accused’s licence was suspended, and the vehicle impounded as required by law.

Location:         Market Street South

On Saturday, December 4, 2021, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a restaurant located on Market Street South in regard to a possible impaired driver.

Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect driver who was being detained by the security guards.

Officers observed signs of impairment and a roadside screening device was utilized, which registered a fail. 

The accused was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation and transported to provide samples of his breath as required by law. Both samples provided were in excess of three times legal limit.

Information received indicated that the accused was operating a motor vehicle while under a valid licence suspension.

As a result of this investigation, a 46-year-old man of Brantford, stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations: 
  • 80 plus
  • Drive under suspension 

Additionally, a licence suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.

Location:          Brant Avenue and Colborne Street

On Thursday, December 2, 2021, at approximately 3:40 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision at Brant Avenue and Colborne Street. 

Upon arrival, officers located the accused inside the vehicle which had flipped upside down as a result of the collision. 

When dealing with the accused, officers observed signs of intoxication. A roadside screening device was utilized, which resulted in a fail.

The accused was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation and transported to provide samples of her breath as required by law. Both samples provided were over the legal limit.

As a result of the investigation, a 20-year-old woman from Brantford, stands charged with the following violations: 
  • Operation While Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code
  • 80 Plus contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Novice Driver BAC over 0 contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Additionally, a licence suspension was issued, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
 

 

Type:                  Robbery - Weapons
Incident:           21-47945 / 21-47175
Location:         West Street
 
On Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m. police received a report of a robbery that had just occurred in the area of Salisbury Avenue. Two men were observed stealing items from a parked vehicle. When the suspects were confronted by the owner of the vehicle, one of the accused men threatened the victim with a handgun. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the robbery.  The suspects fled with stolen items from the vehicle.  Officers later received information that a SUV in the area was linked to the suspects.  

At approximately 11:30 p.m., officers learned the above noted SUV had been stolen from a residence located on Palmerston Avenue earlier in the evening.  

Through investigation, the stolen vehicle and two people associated to the stolen vehicle, were located by police at a West Street location on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at approximately 5:00 p.m.  They were arrested and the stolen vehicle was recovered.

On Thursday, December 9, 2021, police were granted judicial authorization and a search warrant was executed at the West Street residence. Officers successfully located the replica firearm believed to have been utilized by the accused during the incident. 
 
As a result of the investigation, Jonathon Charles LUDWIG, 34, of Brantford (No Fixed Address), stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations and was held for bail: 
  • Robbery with a Firearm 
  • Using firearm in the commission of an offence 
  • Pointing a Firearm 
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose 
  • Carry concealed Weapon 
  • Assault with a Weapon 
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000 

Additionally, Samantha Jean WILSON, 31, of Brantford, stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations: 
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000 
  • Breach probation order 
One of the suspects for the robbery is outstanding and is described as male, 5’6”, thin build, brown eyes, unshaven in appearance, and wearing jeans and running shoes.

Location:         Stanley Street

On Wednesday, December 01, 2021, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a disturbance at a restaurant located on Stanley Street.

Information was received that a 52-year-old female was being assaulted by two females. The suspects fled before the arrival of officers.

The victim received treatment for minor physical injuries.

Through investigation, officers identified one of the two suspects who was located nearby and arrested. The second accused female remains outstanding.

As a result, Cheryl Marie OBEDIAH, 32, of Brantford, stands charged with Assault contrary to the Criminal Code.

Location:          Market Street

On Thursday, November 30, 2021, at approximately 12:15 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a weapon related call in the area of Market Street near Colborne Street.

Reports were received advising that a male was observed walking down the sidewalk with what appeared to be an assault style firearm over his shoulder.   

Officers attended and quickly located the accused. Due to the concern for public safety, the accused was taken into custody on scene without incident. It was later determined that the weapon was not utilized in an offensive manner and was found to be a pellet / BB gun.

Information was received to indicate that the accused was in violation of two valid probation orders.

Search incident to arrest, located a small amount of a substance appearing to be crystal methamphetamine on his person. 

As a result, a 35-year-old male from Brantford (No Fixed Address), stands charged with the following: 
  • Breach of Probation x 2 contrary to the Criminal Code 
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 
 

 

Type:                  Stolen Motor Vehicle - Possession
Incident:           21-46782
Location:          Colborne Street and Park Avenue

On Monday, November 29, 2021, at approximately 3:30 a.m., community patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service observed a vehicle with two occupants, travelling eastbound on Colborne Street at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle then turned abruptly onto Park Avenue, mounted the curb, and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot while the accused remained on scene. 

Within the vehicle, officers observed a quantity of Canadian Currency and a substance believed to be Crystal Methamphetamine (approximately 5.2 grams) with an estimated street value of $790.

The driver of the vehicle has yet to be charged.

As a result of the investigation, Shaun HARDING, 20, of Brantford, has been charged with: 
  • Possession for the purpose contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Adult occupant of motor vehicle or vessel without consent contrary to the Criminal Code 



Type:                 Theft – Motor Vehicle

Location:         Market Street
 
On Sunday, November 28, 2021, at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched in regarding a report of a stolen motor vehicle in the area of Market Street and Dalhousie Street.

Through investigation, officers determined the identity of the suspect. A search of the area was conducted however, the suspect was not immediately located.  

With the assistance of the K9 Unit, the suspect was successfully located in a wooded location near Eagle Avenue on Monday, November 29, 2021, at approximately 1:35 a.m. The stolen vehicle was recovered.

Information received indicated the accused was in violation of two valid probation orders and was prohibited from driving.

As a result of the investigation, George Nathan SAULT, 29, of Brantford (No Fixed Address), stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
  • Breach of Probation 
  • Driving while prohibited x 5 
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle

Traffic Stop Results in Arrests, Seizure of Weapons and Illegal Drugs

Patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service arrested two, seized multiple weapons and illegal drugs after a traffic stop.
 
On Sunday, December 5, 2021, at approximately 8:45 a.m., community patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service conducted a traffic stop after observing a suspicious motor vehicle in the area of Darling Street and Peel Street.

The driver of the vehicle was identified, and information was received to indicate he was prohibited driver.

As a result, the accused was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving while Under Suspension. Search incident to arrest located a prohibited weapon (butterfly knife) in his possession.
 
Police conducted a search of the motor vehicle and located the following: 
  • Approximately 4.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $663 
  • Approximately 1.1 grams of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $275
  • Drug paraphernalia 
  • A replica firearm 
  • A loaded .22 caliber long rifle 
  • Ammunition and accessories for the firearm 
  • Body armor

Investigation revealed that the accused does not have a Possession and Acquisition License and is not legally to be in possession of a firearm.

As a result of the investigation, Ryan Dennis WARDLE, 31, of Brantford, stands charged with the following:
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Weapons Dangerous contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Tampering with a Serial Number contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Careless Storage/transport of Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition contrary to the Criminal Code
  • 2x Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Driving while Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

 
Officers applied for and received judicial authorization to enter and search the residence of the accused. 

Officers attended to the residence and conducted a search where they located the following items:
  • Loaded 12-gauge shotgun 
  • Licence plates (reported stolen)
  • Brass knuckles (prohibited weapon)
  • Multiple rounds of various ammunition
  • Various firearm components
As a result of the investigation, a second accused, Quinlyn Blair FAIRFAX, 28, of Brantford, and Ryan Dennis WARDLE, each stand charged with the additional Criminal Code violations:
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon 
  • Weapons Dangerous 
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm 
  • Careless Storage of Firearm 
  • Possession of Firearm Knowing it is Unauthorized 
  • Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Possession of Stolen Goods under $5,000

Brantford Drug Project Leads to Seizure of 112 kilograms of Cocaine

In early 2021, the Brantford Police Service entered into a drug investigation with assistance from the Canadian Border Services Agency.  Through funding provided by the Ontario government, Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario supported this Brantford Police Service investigation, which has resulted in the seizure of 112 kilograms of Cocaine. 

 

The investigation, which was led by the Brantford Police Service - Criminal Intelligence Unit, with the support of the Canada Border Services Agency, resulted in the identification a local group of individuals who were believed to be involved in the importation of cocaine into Canada.  They were further believed to be involved in the trafficking and distribution of cocaine throughout the City of Brantford and the surrounding regions.

 

As a result of the investigation, a tractor trailer belonging to a company based out of Milton, Ontario, was intercepted by the Canadian Border Services Agency.  The vehicle was attempting to enter back into Canada using the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, Ontario, from the United States in the early morning hours of December 4, 2021. A search of the trailer yielded a seizure of approximately 112 kilograms of cocaine, having a street value of approximately $12,000,000.

As a result of the joint investigation, two accused Jugrajpreet SINGH and Amrinder SINGH, both 22-years-of-age from Brampton, have been charged with Possession for the Purpose to Traffic and Importation of Cocaine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Traffic Stop Results in Two Arrests, Seizure of Illegal Drugs and Replica Firearm

Patrol officers with the Brantford Police Service arrested two people and seized a replica firearm and a large quantity of illegal drugs after a traffic stop.
 
On Monday, November 29, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m., a Brantford Police Cruiser was nearly hit by a vehicle near the intersection of East Avenue and Alfred Street.
 
Officers conducted a traffic stop. Occupying the vehicle was a male driver and two female passengers.
 
While speaking with the driver, officers observed a firearm and drug paraphernalia in clear view. Information received indicated the driver was currently prohibited from operating a motor vehicle and was in violation of a valid release order.
 
As a result, the driver was subsequently placed under arrest. Search of the vehicle subsequent to arrest located the following:  
  • Approx. 151 grams of suspected Cocaine, with an estimated street value of $15,110
  • Approx. 32 grams of suspected Fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $8,098
  • Approx. 24.6 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $3,690
  • Approx. 13 grams of suspected Crack-Cocaine, with an estimated street value of $1,330
  • Drug paraphernalia including packaging and digital scales.
  • Replica firearm
 
As a result of the investigation, James Ronald WILSON, 31, of Brantford, stands charged with the following:
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 4 contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Fail to Comply – Release Order contrary to the Criminal Code
  • Drive while Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
 
Additionally, Rebecca Lynn JACQUES, 35, of Brantford, stands charged with:
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 4 contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
