72-year-old male charged in Hit and Run

On June 2, 2022, as a result of the investigation, a 72-year-year-old man from Paris was arrested and stands charged with Fail to Remain, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The Brantford Police Service would like to thank the public for information related to this investigation.

UPDATE:A surveillance video still photograph of the suspected vehicle is now available and attached.

The Brantford Police Service is seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed a collision, which occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m., Sunday, May 29, 2022, in the area of Market Street and Chatham Street, Brantford. 

An unidentified vehicle, described as a grey Sport Utility Vehicle, occupied by a male driver and female passenger, is alleged to have struck a 21-year-old female pedestrian before fleeing the scene. The female was transported to hospital with serious injury. The involved vehicle is believed to have front-end damage, including a broken headlight. 
 
Failing to remain at the scene of a collision is a serious offence.  The Brantford police urge the driver and passenger to come forward, and anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have footage of the incident is asked to contact Constable B. Lee at 519-756-7050 ext. 2820.
