Services are free and confidential and are separate from any report provided to police.


Victim Services of Brant is a non-profit, community-based agency that assists police, fire and other emergency services in providing accessible, confidential client centered support to victims of crime, tragic circumstances and disaster.

We provide crisis assistance and intervention in Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations of the Grand River, 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.

Programs include Victim Crisis Assistance Ontario (VCAO), Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+) and Bail Court Program.

VCAO supports individuals affected by crime and tragic circumstance and can provide:
  • needs/risk assessment
  • safety planning
  • practical assistance
  • referrals
  • assistance completing Victim Impact Statements
VQRP+ contributes assistance to those who have suffered physical or emotional harm resulting from a criminal code offence such as:
  • Child abuse
  • Criminal harassment
  • Distribution of intimate images
  • Elder abuse 
  • Hate Crime
  • Historical child sexual abuse
  • Homicide
  • Human Trafficking
  • Intimate Partner Violence
  • Sexual Assault
  • Serious Assault
  • Voyeurism

If eligibility requirements are met VQRP+ may assist with funding for certain things such as counselling and emergency safety needs - please contact us for details as there are timelines and eligibility requirements that must be met.

Our Bail Court Program assists victims of crime involved in the bail court system. We provide victims with the information related to their case and explain the bail court process. We act as a liaison with the Crown Attorney and police and relay the outcome of bail court. Needs/risk assessment are completed and appropriate referrals for sup[port will be made.
