BPS arrest two men on child pornography related charges in separate investigations

Two men have been arrested by the Brantford Police ICE Unit (Internet Child Exploitation) in two separate investigations during the week of September 1, 2022. The investigations were furthered as a result of information received from members of the public.   

Incident 22-32962

On September 1, 2022, a search warrant was executed at a Brantford residence and several electronic devices were seized. As a result of this investigation, a 36-year-old Branford man was arrested and stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences: 
Access Child Pornography
Possession of Child Pornography
Failure to Comply Judicial release
Invitation to Sexual Touching 
Luring – person under 16 years old

Incident 22-34461

A separate search warrant was executed September 2, 2022, and a number of electronics devices were seized.
As a result of this investigation, a 29-year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Possession of child pornography
Make Child pornography available
Sexual assault 
Invitation to sexual touching 
Sexual interference 

The names of the accused will not be released in order to protect the identity of the victims.

The latest charges are as a result of the Brantford Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit having received information from concerned members of the public. "On behalf of the Brantford police, I would like to thank those members of the public that came forward to report these incidents,” stated Detective Michael Korda.
