BPS Investigate Pharmacy Robbery

On Thursday, April 9, 2020 at approximately 5:45 p.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding a pharmacy robbery in the area of Colborne Street and Dalhousie Street. 

A male suspect with his face concealed, entered the pharmacy and hid behind the pharmacy counter. The suspect was armed with what appeared to be a pellet rifle and demanded Fentanyl and Hydromorphone from staff. Staff complied and the suspect obtained an unknown amount of Hydromorphone tablets and several Fentanyl patches.

After a brief confrontation between the suspect and a customer, the male suspect fled on bicycle. The customer and pharmacy staff who were present at the time of the incident were unharmed.  

Brantford Police Service K9 Unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation.

Suspect Information: Caucasian male, approximately 5’8”, average build, wearing a black jacket, black hoodie, blue jeans a green baseball hat and carrying a red hiking style backpack with white stripes and silver straps. The suspect was observed in surveillance video riding a red or maroon coloured mountain bike to flee the scene.
