BPS Investigation - Drug Charges

On Thursday, September 24, 2020, members of the Brantford Police Service conducted a drug trafficking investigation in the area of Brant Avenue and West Street in the City of Brantford. During the investigation the suspect fled from police on foot.  The suspect was located and arrested a short time later hiding in a residential backyard.  

Following the arrest, Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search warrant at a nearby residence.  As a result of that search warrant the following items were seized:
  • 10 ounces of suspected cocaine (Approximate street value of $30,000)
  • A quantity of Canadian Currency
  • An imitation firearm
As such, a 24 year old, male from Brantford stands charged with:
  • Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
