Citizen Art Donation Provided to Brantford Police Service
At the September 9, 2021 meeting of the Brantford Police Services Board, Chief Rob Davis and Chair Mark Littell accepted a donation from local citizen, Mr. Steven Lloyd who graciously presented a folk-art wood carving which was handmade by his late father, Mr. Joe Lloyd.
Mr. Lloyd was a dedicated husband and father who was proud to call Brantford home. His diligent work ethics and steadfast dedication to his family, friends and neighbours was an asset to this community.
He took great joy in assisting others, applying his various skills, accumulated resources and knowledge to conquering any task at hand.
Mr. Lloyd took great satisfaction of utilizing his artwork to bring recognition to the people, places and ideals that he embodied. Despite his dedication as a working family man, he often made time for various works of art such as this folk-art depiction of the officers who choose to protect and serve this community with steadfast integrity and genuine sincerity for its citizens.
For his thoughtfulness and generosity in these unique creative pursuits, both the Brantford Police Service and the Brantford Police Services Board wish to recognize Mr. Joe Lloyd of Branford, Ontario. (1937-2011) and thank Mr. Steven Lloyd for the generous donation.
Mr. Lloyd’s artwork will be displayed at the Brantford Police Service located at 344 Elgin Street, Brantford.
