Type: Stolen Motor Vehicle

Location: Colborne Street East
Incident: On Thursday April 25, 2019 the Brantford Police Service was notified by a neighbouring Police agency that a motor vehicle had been stolen and may be heading to the Brantford area. Community Patrol Officers observed the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of a motel on Colborne Street East. Officers located a female inside the vehicle in the passenger seat and a male who had been driving inside the motel. Both accused were arrested without incident. While dealing with the accused they were found to be in possession of identification and property that had also been reported stolen. As a result of the investigation a 36 year old Woodstock male has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Possession of Identity Documents x3, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 and Breach of Probation. The second accused a 30 year old Woodstock woman is charged with Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000, Possession of Identity Documents and Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000. Both accused were held for a bail hearing.

Incident: On Thursday April 25, 2019 just after 12:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a bank on Colborne Street. An unknown male had attended the bank with identification belonging to another person and was attempting to access their financial records. Community Patrol Officers attended to the bank where they located the suspect. Investigation revealed that the suspect had stolen the identification and was attempting to access his banking information. The male was arrested without incident. Information was received that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions. A 49 year old Brantford male has been charged with Personation Identity Fraud, Identity Documents and Breach of Probation x2.

Location: Brunswick Street
Incident: On Thursday April 25, 2019 at around 2:30 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a disturbance at a residence on Brunswick Street. Two males were observed in a confrontation out front of the residence when one of the males started to assault the other. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the victim who had been knocked unconscious from the incident. Investigation revealed that the victim had been walking his dog when he was confronted and assaulted. The suspect fled the area in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect without incident. A 63 year old Brantford male has been charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

Location: Colborne Street East
Incident: On Wednesday April 24, 3019 just before 1:30 a.m. Community patrol Officers observed a vehicle travelling eastbound on Colborne Street East. Officers observed the vehicle swerving in and out of the marked lanes and almost strike the curb. Officers performed a traffic stop and spoke to the male driver. Upon speaking to the driver Officers observed signs of impairment and a bottle of wine was located on the passenger seat. A demand for a roadside screening device was issued to the driver. The driver registered a fail on the roadside screening device and was arrested. The driver was transported to the Brantford Police Service where he was to provide samples of his breath as required by law. The accused samples were over the legal limit. A 24 year old Brantford male has been charged with 80 Plus under the Criminal Code. His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was towed for 7 days.
