Incident: 17-45786
Location: St George Street
Incident: On Wednesday November 29, 2017 a business on St George Street reported that their business had been broken into.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into the business and took a window air conditioner.     

Type:  Theft - Residential
Incident:  17-455790
Location:  Cayuga Street 
Incident: On Wednesday November 29, 2017 just after 10:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a report of a theft from a resident on Cayuga Street.  The 30 year old female resident advised that she had just found someone who had broken into their rear shed and when confronted the homeowner was assaulted by the male suspect.  The suspect had taken two bikes from the shed and when discovered by the homeowner began to hit her with them.  A second 35 year old female resident heard the commotion and went to assist.  The suspect fled the area with the stolen bikes.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where the accused was located a short distance away.  The accused was found with the stolen property and was arrested without incident.  The victim received non-life threatening injures as a result of the incident.  Officers in speaking to the accused discovered that he was bound by two court orders.  A 21 year old Brantford male is charged with Theft Under $5000.00 x2, Possession of Stolen Property Unde  r $5000.00, Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Probation x2. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Dublin Street
Incident: On Wednesday November 29, 2017 a business on St George Street reported that they had been broken into.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into the business and took two window air conditioners.  


Type:   Break and Enter - Residential
Incident:   17-45867
Location:  Walnut Street 
Incident:  On Wednesday November 29, 2017 a resident from Walnut Street reported that their residence had been broken into.  Sometime during the day unknown person(s) broke into the residence through a rear door.  Reported stolen was a gaming system and electronics.

Location: Blackburn Drive
Incident: On Thursday November 30, 2017 just after 7:30 p.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle driving on Blackburn Drive swerving in and out of marked lanes.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver.  The driver showed signs of impairment and was issued a demand for a roadside screening device.  The driver failed the roadside screening device and was arrested for Impaired Operation Over 80.  The accused was transported to the police station where she was to provide two samples of her breath as required by law. The accused samples were over two times the legal limit.  A 39 year old Scotland woman is charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle Over 80.  The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date. 
  

Further the accused licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle being driven by the accused was impounded for 7 days.

Location: Glendale Road
Incident: On Friday December 1, 2017 just before 1:30 a.m. the Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a resident on Glendale Road.  The homeowner contacted police about a suspicious male who was going up and down driveways looking into parked cars.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the male.  The male fled the area on a bike and then on foot.  The area was searched and the suspect was located hiding in a nearby rear yard.    The accused was arrested without incident and was found to be in possession of property stolen from nearby vehicles.  Upon speaking to the accused it was discovered he was bound by three court orders.  A 28 year old Brantford male is charged with Trespass by Night, Theft Under $5000.00, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000.00, Breach of Recognizance and Breach of Probation x2.  The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
