Location: Dalhousie Street ? Tim Horton?s
Incident: On Saturday December 15, 2017 just after 3:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from the Tim Horton?s on Dalhousie Street. Employees reported that a fight was currently taking place inside the store between two males and one was clearly the aggressor. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area and located the accused as he exited the store. Investigation revealed that the victim had been assaulted and had money taken from him during the assault. The accused was arrested without incident. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the incident. Michael Jason Demelo a 24 year old Brantford male is charged with Robbery. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date along with an Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions.

Location: Greenwich Street
Incident: On Saturday December 16, 2017 just before 6:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a call from a resident on Greenwich Street. The victim reported that their ATV (all-terrain vehicle) had been stolen sometime overnight. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area and confirmed that the ATV had been stolen from the rear of a pickup truck parked in the driveway. Stolen was a 2004 Polaris ATV red, black and grey in colour.
Location: Richardson Street
Incident: On Saturday December 16, 2017 a resident on Richardson Street reported that their work trailer had been broken into. Sometime overnight unknown person(s) had cut the lock and broke into a trailer parked out front of the residence. Reported stolen was tools and construction equipment.
Location: Birkett Lane
Incident: On December 16, 2017 just before 9:00 p.m. Community Patrol Officers located a vehicle parked on Birkett Lane. Officers spoke to the driver and passengers in the vehicle. While speaking to the occupants officers suspected they had been using a controlled substance. Upon investigation it was discovered that they had been using a controlled substance and the driver and occupants were arrested. During the investigation 14.6 grams of marihuana had been located inside the vehicle. The driver an 18 year old Brantford male is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (marihuana) under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act and was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date. During the arrest a passenger (accused #2) was found to be in possession of 25.6 grams of marihuana and resisted during the arrest. A 17 year old Brantford male is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act as well as Obstruct Police under the Criminal Code. He was release on a Promise to Appear with a future court date along with an Officer in Charge Undertaking.

Location: Campbell Street
Incident: On Sunday December 17, 2017 just before 2:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a call from a resident on Campbell Street. A neighbour reported that someone had broken into a vehicle parked at a residence and was scared off by the alarm. Community Patrol Officers attended and checked the area. Investigation revealed that a window had been smashed out in the vehicle and a number of tools were taken.
Type: Intoxicated Person
Location: Lynden Road (Lynden Park Mall)
Incident: On Sunday December 17, 2017 just before 3:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from the Lynden Park Mall. Employees advised that there was an intoxicated male inside the mall causing a disturbance. Community Patrol Officers attended and located the male inside the mall yelling and screaming at patrons. Upon speaking to the male it was determined that he was intoxicated. The male was arrested without incident. Investigation revealed that the male was bound by a court order with conditions that he was breaching. The accused a 34 year old Brantford male is charged with Causing a Disturbance and Fail to Comply with Undertaking. The accused was later released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.
