Incident: 17-48632
Location: St Paul Ave
Incident:   On Thursday December 21, 2017 shortly after 9:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle being operated on St Paul Ave.  Officers performed a traffic stop and spoke to the driver.  Officers upon speaking to the driver had suspicions that they may have been consuming alcoholic beverages and a roadside screening device was administered.  During the roadside testing the driver registered a fail and was arrested for Impaired Operation Over 80.  Investigation also revealed that the accused was bound by a court order with conditions.  The accused was taken to the Brantford Police Service where she provided two samples of her breath as required by law. The accused readings were over two times the legal limit.  The accused a 27 year old Brantford woman is charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle Over 80 and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.     

Further the accused licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded.

Location: Colborne Street
Incident:   On Thursday December 21, 2017 shortly before 3:00 p.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle being operated on Colborne Street.  Officers performed a traffic stop and spoke to the driver.  Investigation revealed that the driver did not have a valid licence as it was currently under suspension.  Further, the driver was currently bound by a court order that he was not abiding by.  The accused was arrested without incident.  A 47 year old Brantford man is charged with Failing to Comply with a Recognizance Order under the Criminal Code and Driving while under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Market Street South
Incident: On Thursday December 21, 2017 just after 8:00 p.m. Brantford police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a taxi driver.  The driver was reporting being assaulted by a recent fare.  The driver had picked up the fare in the downtown area and during the cab ride the accused opened a beer inside the taxi.  The driver advised the accused he could not and was assaulted by the accused.   The driver received non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assault.  Frederick Graham Hill 58 years old from Brantford is charged with assault.  The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date along with an Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions.

Location: Dundas Street East
Incident: On Friday December 22, 2017 just before 4:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a resident on Dundas Street.  The resident reported a suspicious male rummaging around their front porch and property.  The home owner had scared off the male prior to police arrival.  Community Patrols Officers attended and searched for the male. 
Nothing was reported taken at the time of the report.
