Location: Wayne Gretzky Parkway    
Incident: On Tuesday July 17, 2018 just before 3:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about an impaired driver.  An unknown male was observed drinking alcohol while in his vehicle in a parking lot on Wayne Gretzky Parkway.  Community Patrol Officers attended and located the vehicle with the male driver sitting in the driver?s seat.  An open bottle of beer was observed in the cup holder of the vehicle.  Officers spoke to the driver and investigation revealed he had consumed alcoholic beverages.  A demand was issued to provide a sample into an approached roadside device which registered a fail.  The driver was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service where he was to provide samples of his breath as required by law.  The accused readings were over the legal limit.  A 22 year old Brantford male is charged with Care and Control of Motor Vehicle ? Over 80 under the Criminal Code.  His driver?s licence was suspended for 90 and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Location: Colborne Street    
Incident: On Tuesday July 17, 2018 just before 2:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle traveling on Colborne Street.  Information received was the driver of the vehicle had a suspended drivers licence.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the male driver.  Investigation confirmed that the drivers licence was currently under suspension.  Investigation also revealed that the vehicle was not currently insured.  A 37 year old Brantford male is charged with Drive While Under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act.  He is also charged with Owner Operate Motor Vehicle- No Insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

Location: Drummond Street    
Incident: On Monday July 16th, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a call about a theft from a trailer.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) broke into a locked work trailer that was parked on Drummond Street.  Reported stolen were a number of power and construction tools.
