 UPDATE

The Brantford Police Service Traffic Unit continues their investigation and asks for the
publics assistance with any information regarding the sudden death of the cyclist. 
Officers have met with the family of the deceased and were authorized to release his
name.
Michael John Campeau, 47 years of Brantford was found on Monday, July 24, 2017
 shortly before 2:30 a.m. on Terrace Hill Street between Main Street and West Street. 
 Officers are seeking the assistance from any neighbours in the area who have home
 video security system which may have captured the fall or Mr. Campeau
riding his bike prior to the incident to please review their video and contact police with
any information.  Mr. Campeau had been riding a white mountain bike.
The Brantford Police Traffic Unit continues their investigation and seeks assistance from
anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.   Anyone with information

Type: Sudden Death - Cyclist

Location: Terrace Hill Street
 On July 24, 2017 shortly before 2:30 a.m. an officer on routine patrol was flagged down by a citizen on Terrace Hill Street. The citizen advised that an unknown male was lying on the ground injured. The male had received serious head injury and was transported to the hospital. The victim, a 47 year old Brantford man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The BPS Traffic Unit is investigating the sudden death involving this cyclist. It is believed that the deceased was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk and fell off his bike receiving a fatal head injury.  The cyclist was not wearing a helmet.

Location: Stanley Street (200 Block)
Incident: Sometime within the last week a home was entered on Stanley Street. Unknown person(s) entered a side window. Amongst the items reported were two flat screen televisions and a computer.
