Incident:   On Thursday June 13, 2019 just before 11:30 a.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a 9-1-1 call about a hit and run motor vehicle collision.  A vehicle had been stopped at the intersection of Colborne Street and Kiwanis Way.  While stopped the vehicle was struck from behind.  The suspect vehicle fled the scene continuing East down Colborne Street.  The suspect vehicle turned North on Sheffield Ave at a high rate of speed.  An argument ensued between the driver and passenger where they driver threatened to crash the vehicle and harm them both.  Fearing for his safety the 20 year old male passenger jumped from the front passenger seat and onto the roadway receiving minor injuries.  The vehicle continued towards Chatham Street where it left the roadway and crashed into a fence, before coming to a stop in a rear yard of a residence.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the scene where they located the female driver and male passenger.  Both the driver and passenger were treated by Emergency Medical Services for non-life threatening injuries.  As a result of the investigation a 13 year old Brantford woman has been charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm under the Criminal Code. She has also been charged with Careless Driving, Fail to Remain and Drive No Licence under the Highway Traffic Act.

Location:   North Park Street
Incident:    On Thursday June 13, 2019 just after 1:00 p.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a male riding a bicycle in the area of North Park Street and St George St.  The male was wanted known to be wanted on three outstanding arrest warrants. Officers were successfully able to stop and arrest the accused without incident.  While dealing with the accused he was found to be in possession of identification, credit cards and bank cards that had previously been reported stolen.  Further, the bicycle that he was riding had just been reported stolen from a nearby school.  As a result of the investigation a 24 year old Brantford male has been charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession Under $5000 x2, Breach of Probation x3, Use Stolen Credit Card and Fraud Under $5000 under the Criminal Code. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Incident:  On Wednesday June 12, 2019 members of the Brantford Police Service – Task Force conducted an investigation into a residence located on Colborne Street East.  As a result of the investigation a search warrant was executed at the residence.  During the investigation a shotgun with an altered stock and barrel, shotgun shells, rifle rounds and over $300.00 of suspected cocaine was located.  Four individuals were located at the residence during the investigation.  As a result of the investigation and search warrant four people have been charged.   A 38 year old Brantford male is charged with Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Careless storage of a firearm and ammunition, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a firearm contrary to Order, Possession of ammunition contrary to Order x2 under the Criminal Code and has further been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.   A 46 year old Brantford male is charged with Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Careless storage of a firearm and ammunition, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm and Breach of Recognizance Order under the Criminal Code, he is further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  A 32 year old Brantford male is charged with Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Careless storage of a firearm and ammunition, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm and Breach of Probation under the Criminal Code, he is further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  A 34 year old Brantford woman is charged with Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Careless storage of a firearm and ammunition, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm, Possession of Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a firearm contrary to order and Possession of ammunition contrary to order under the Criminal Code, she is further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  All accused were held for a bail hearing.

Incident:  On Tuesday June 11, 2019 members of the Brantford Police Service – Task Force conducted an investigation into drugs that were being sold from a motel room on Colborne Street East.  As a result of the investigation a search warrant was executed.  As a result of the search warrant a large amount of drugs, paraphernalia and Canadian currency was located.  Officers located over $4,600 worth of suspected Methamphetamine and over $2,600 worth of suspected Fentanyl.  A 33 year old Brantford female has been charged Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2 under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  A 32 year old Brantford male was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x2 under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as well as Breach of Recognizance Order under the Criminal Code.  Both accused were held for a bail hearing. 

Type:   Stolen Motor Vehicle

Location:   Gladstone Ave  
Incident:    On Saturday June 1, 2019, the Brantford Police Service investigated a stolen motor vehicle from an address on Gladstone Ave.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) stole the vehicle from the driveway.  Located inside the vehicle was identification and credit cards belonging to the victim.  The credit cards were used to purchase items at a business shortly afterwards.  As a result of the investigation a suspect was identified.  On June 10, 2019 Community Patrol Officers observed the suspect in a vehicle and performed a traffic stop.  The accused was arrested without incident.  While dealing with the accused she was found to be in possession of a set of licence plates that had been reported stolen to police.  As a result of the investigation a 27 year old Brantford woman is charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Theft of Credit Card, Use Stolen Credit Card, Fraud Under $5000 x2 and Possess Stolen Property Under $5000 under the Criminal Code.

Location:  Icomm Drive  
Incident:   On Tuesday June 11, 2019 at approximately 7:14 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a possible impaired driver.  A vehicle was driving down Clarence Street and was observed weaving all over the road.  The vehicle was then seen going into a business parking lot on Icomm Drive.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the vehicle parked in the parking lot with a female driver slumped over the steering wheel passed out with the vehicle running.  Officers were able to wake and speak to the driver.  While dealing with the driver they were given a demand for a standard field sobriety test.  As a result of the test the driver was arrested and given a demand for a Drug Recognition Evaluation.  The accused was transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to perform the Evaluation.  As a result of the evaluation the driver was charged.  Information was received that the accused was currently a prohibited driver and her licence was suspended and that she was currently bound by a court order.  A 31 year old Simcoe woman is charged with Operation While Impaired – Drug and Breach of Probation x2 under the Criminal Code.  She is also charged with Drive While Under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act.  The accused licence was suspected and vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
