Incident: On Thursday November 9, 2017 just before 9:00 p.m. the Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a concerned citizen about a possible impaired driver. A suspicious vehicle had been parked on Blackburn Drive and the driver was seen sleeping at the wheel. The driver had been spoken to by the citizen who believed the driver had been drinking. The driver left the area prior to police arrival. Community patrol officers attended to the area where they located the vehicle and a male driver. The Officer had conversation with the driver who displayed signs of impairment and noticed open alcohol inside. The driver was issued a roadside demand to provide a sample of breath into approved screening device. The driver failed the roadside screening device and was arrested for Operating a motor vehicle Over 80. The accused was taken to the Brantford Police Service where he provided two samples of his breath as required by law. The accused readings were 2 times the legal limit. A 31 year old male from Brantford is charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle Over 80 and was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.
Further the accused licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Incident: On Friday November 10, 2017 just after 12:30 a.m. Brantford Police Service were called to the Tim Horton?s on Dalhousie Street about an unwanted intoxicated male. Community Patrol Officers attended and located the male leaning on the front counter inside the store. Officers spoke to the male who was intoxicated. The accused a 38 year old Burford man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
