Type:  Impaired - Alcohol
Incident: 18-44647
Location: King George Road   
Incident: On Saturday November 10, 2018 just after 1:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a possible impaired driver.  A vehicle had been seen driving on King George Road and had almost caused a motor vehicle collision and drove off.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the vehicle and driver parked in a business parking lot on King George Road.  Officers spoke to the male driver who showed signs of impairment.  The male driver was arrested and transport to the Brantford Police Service where he was to provide samples of his breath as required by law.  The accused readings were twice the legal limit.  A 57 year old Brantford male is charged with Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle and Operate Motor Vehicle – Over 80 under the Criminal Code.  The accused drivers licence was suspended for 90days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Location: Colborne Street  
Incident:  On Sunday November 11, 2018 just after 3:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Colborne Street and observed as the vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of Colborne Street and Queen Street.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the male driver who showed signs of impairment.  The male driver was arrested and transport to the Brantford Police Service where he was to provide samples of his breath as required by law.  The accused readings were over the legal limit.  A 26 year old Brantford male is charged with Impaired Operation of Motor Vehicle and Operate Motor Vehicle – Over 80 under the Criminal Code.  The accused drivers licence was suspended for 90days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Location: Lynden Road  
Incident:  On Sunday November 11, 2018 just after 5:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a possible impaired drier.  A female driver was observed trying to park her vehicle in a business parking lot on Lynden Road.  While the driver was attempting to park she struck two other vehicles in the parking lot.  The driver reversed and again tried to park striking the vehicles a second time.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the female driver and vehicle.  Upon speaking to the driver she showed signs of impairment and was issued a roadside breath demand.  The driver registered a warning on the roadside device.  An 80 year old Brantford woman was issued a 3 day licence suspension.

Location: Albion Street   
Incident: On Saturday November 3, 2018 just after 11:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Albion Street.  An unknown female had come out of a residence on Albion Street yelling for help.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the address where they located a female and male victim.  The female victim had gotten into an argument with another female at the residence.  The female suspect then pulled out a can of Bear Spray and sprayed the female victim in the face which also affected the male victim as he was in close proximity.   The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.  Investigation revealed that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions.   A warrant was issued for the suspect’s arrest.  On November 12, 2018 just after 12:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers were investigating a disturbance at a residence on Colborne Street East.  During the investigation Officers located and arrested the accused on the outstanding warrant without incident.  A 22 year old Brantford woman is charged with Assault With a Weapon x2, Administer Noxious Substance and Breach of Probation.  The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Queen Street    
Incident:  On Sunday November 11, 2018 just after 12:00 p.m. Community Patrol Officers were on patrol when they observed a male who was known to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  Officers stopped and arrested the male on the outstanding warrant without incident.  While dealing with the accused he was found to be in possession of over 4 grams suspected crystal methamphetamine and heroin (street value $650.00).  A 42 year old Brantford male was arrested on the outstanding warrant and has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance x2 under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
