Incident:  On Thursday November 16, 2017 shortly after 4:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a resident on Oak Street.  An unknown person had broken into their residence through the front door.  The home owners were able to keep the male there until police arrived.  Community Patrol Officers attended and arrested the male.  John Anthony Rebelo a 50 year old Brantford male is charged with Break and Enter with Intent and was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.  He was also issued an Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions.

Incident: On Thursday November 16, 2017 just after 12:30 p.m. the Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a suspicious male that was in the area smashing car windows with a hammer.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located and arrested the male without incident.  In speaking to witnesses it was discovered that a disturbance had started at a complex on Fifth Ave where damage was caused to the walls.  The male had left and smashed three windows to vehicles parked in the parking lot.  The male continued and broke a car window in a school parking lot before being arrested.  Upon speaking to the male he provided false information to police.  Police were able to positively identify the male and discovered he was bound by two court orders and was wanted on two outstanding warrants.  The accused a 19 year old Brantford man is charged with Mischief to Property x5, Obstruct Peace Officer and Fail to Comply with Recognize Order x2.  The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: St Paul Ave - Metro
Incident: On Thursday November 17, 2017 just after 5:30 p.m. the Brantford Police Service received a call from a Loss Prevention Officer from the Metro Grocery Store.  An unknown male had attended inside the store where he concealed items under his clothing.  The male left the store without making any attempts to pay for the items.  The male was arrested by the Loss Prevention Officer.  Community Patrol Officers attended and upon speaking to the male discovered he was currently bound by a court order.  A 36 year old Brantford man is charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation.  The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
