Type: Suspicious Person
Location: Charing Cross Street
Incident: On Friday November 3, 2017 just after 2:00 a.m. employees from a business on Charing Cross Street called 9-1-1 about a suspicious person that was hanging around the outside of the business. Community Patrol Officers attended and located the suspicious male hiding in the parking lot. While speaking to the male it was discovered that he was currently wanted on outstanding warrants in other jurisdictions as well as bound by several court orders. It was further determined that the male was currently in breach of these courts orders and was arrested for Failing to Comply. During the arrest the accused was found to be in possession of 1.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine (approximate street value $200.00). The accused a 16 year old Brampton man is charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance under the Criminal Code x 12, Failing to Comply with Court Order under the Youth Criminal Justice Act x 2 and Possession of a Controlled substance under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. The accused was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Brenda Court
Incident: On Sunday November 5, 2017 just before 10:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a suspicious male in the area of Brenda Court. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located a male matching the description riding away from the area on a bicycle. Officers spoke to the male and during the investigation discovered he was in possession of 4.5 grams of Fentanyl (value $1,125.00). The accused a 35 year old Brantford man is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. The accused was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date.
Type: Impaired - Refusal
Location: Alpha Cresant
Incident: On Sunday November 5, 2017 just before 3:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a resident on Alpha Cresant about a suspicious truck. The truck had been repeatedly driving up and down the street and was now parked partially on the boulevard facing the wrong way. Community patrol officers attended to the area where they located the truck and a male driver. The Officer had conversation with the driver who displayed signs of impairment and noticed open alcohol inside the truck. The driver was read a demand to provide a sample of breath into approved screening device as required by law, but refused. The driver, a 22 year old Brantford man has been charged with Refuse Breath Sample under the Criminal Code. The accused was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court appearance. Further the vehicle the accused was driving was impounded for a 7 day mandatory time period and his driver?s licence was suspended for an automatic 90 day suspension.
