Incident: On Wednesday November 8, 2017 the Brantford Police Service received several reports of vandalism in the downtown area.  Community Patrol Officers attended and located graffiti that had been spray painted on the sides of businesses and in alleyways.  While investigating these incidents a male was observed spray painting graffiti on the side of a building on Dalhousie Street.  The male was arrested by police without incident.  Officers checked the area and located fresh spray paint on a building on King Street.  A 21 year old Hamilton man has been charged with Mischief to Property Under $5000.00 x2.  The accused was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.

Location:  West Street
Incident: On Wednesday November 8, 2017 just after 11:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle traveling on West Street with an expired validation permit.  A traffic stop was performed and officers spoke to the female driver and male passenger.  During the conversation it was discovered that the drivers, licence was currently under suspension and that there was no insurance on the vehicle.  The female driver was also currently bound by a court order with conditions to have no contact with the passenger.  The male passenger was also bound by a court order with conditions to have no contact with the driver.  Both the driver and passenger were arrested without incident.  During the arrest the driver was found to be in possession of marihuana, cocaine and crystal methamphetamine.  As a result of the investigation the 34 year old female driver is charged with Obstruct Peace Officer and Fail to Comply with Undertaking under the Criminal Code.  She is also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance x3 under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.  The driver is further charged with Drive while Under Suspension, Drive motor vehicle no currently validated permit under the Highway Traffic Act and Operate a Motor Vehicle with no Insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.  The passenger a 37 year old Brantford man is charged with Failing to Comply with a Recognizance.  Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
