Type:  Fraud
Incident: 18-4421
Location: Market Street   
Incident: On Tuesday November 6, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a call about a fraud from a Pharmacy on Market Street.  A customer had dropped off a prescription that they had received for prescription medication.  Upon inspection the prescription appeared to have been altered.  The Pharmacy verified with the issuing Doctor that the prescription had been altered.  Community Patrol Officers attended and confirmed that there had been an attempt to alter the prescription.  The male suspect had fled the store prior to police arrival.  Investigation revealed that the suspect was currently bound by a court order with conditions.  On Thursday November 8, 2018 Community Patrol Officers located and arrested the accused without incident. A 28 year old Brantford male is charged with Utter a Forged Document and Breach of Probation under the Criminal Code and was held for a bail hearing.

Location: River Road  
Incident:  On Thursday November 8, 2018 Brantford Police Service received a call about a theft and property damage on River Road.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) attended to a construction site on River Road where they stole items from and damaged equipment.

Incident: 18-44351
Location: Charing Cross Street  
Incident: On Thursday November 8, 2018 Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle traveling on Charing Cross Street.  Information was received that the vehicles validation permit was not valid.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the female driver.  Investigation revealed that the drivers licence was currently suspended and that there was no insurance on the vehicle.  A 42 year old Brantford woman was charged with Driver while Under Suspension and Drive Motor Vehicle – No Currently Validated Permit under the Highway Traffic Act.  She was also charged with Operate Motor Vehicle – No Insurance under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.  The driver’s vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Incident: 18-44419
Location: Park Ave   
Incident: On Friday November 8, 2018 just after 2:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle traveling on Park Ave.  Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the male driver.  Investigation revealed that the drivers licence was currently suspended and that he was a Prohibited Driver.  He was also bound by a court order for driving offences.  A 37 year old Brantford male is charged with Driver while Under Suspension x2 Under the Highway Traffic Act.  He is also charged with Breach of Probation under the Provincial Offences Act.   The vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
