Location:  Charing Cross Street  
Incident:  On Sunday October 20, 2019 Brantford Police Service responded to a call regarding a suspicious person at the rear of a business on Charing Cross Street.  Community patrol Officers attended to the business where they located a male rummaging through dumpster bins.  Officers spoke to the male who provided verbal identification.  Through investigation it was determined that the information provided by the male was false.  Further investigation revealed that the male was in possession of identification belonging to other individuals as well as small amount of suspected fentanyl.  Information was also received that the male was currently bound by a court order with conditions that he was contravening.  As a result of the investigation a 28 year old Brantford male is charged with Possession of Identity Document and Breach of Recognizance under the Criminal Code and Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Location:  King George Road  
Incident: On Sunday October 20, 2019 just after 6:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service responded to a suspected impaired driver call at a business on King George Road.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the business where they located the male.  In speaking to the male, Officers observed signs of impairment and it was confirmed that he had driven to the business.  The driver was arrested and transported in order to provide samples of his breath as required by law.  The accused samples were over three times the legal limit.  A 64 year old St George male is charged with Operation While Impaired and 80 Plus under the Criminal Code.  His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Location:  Dalhousie Street  
Incident:  On Sunday October 20, 2019 just after 2:00 a.m. Brantford Police Service received a driving complaint about a vehicle that was seen travelling the wrong way on Dalhousie Street.  Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located and stopped the vehicle.  Officers spoke to the driver and observed signs of impairment.  The driver was arrested and transported in order to provide samples of his breath as required by law.  While dealing with the accused he was found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected cocaine.  The accused samples were two times the legal limit.  As a result of the investigation a 29 year old Cambridge male is charged with Impaired Operation and 80 Plus under the Criminal Code.  He is further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.  His licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
