Firearm and Drugs Seized in Street Crime Unit Arrests

Following numerous medical emergencies related to illicit drug consumption members of the Brantford Police Service commenced a drug trafficking investigation this month.
As a result, on Thursday, January 16th, 2020, members of the Brantford Police Street Crime Unit, Task Force, Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit executed Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrants at a residence on Eagle Avenue and at a residence on Kennedy Street in the City of Brantford.
Subsequent to the execution of the search warrants:
29 year old, Elias GEBREYOHANNES from Toronto is charged with:
•Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
•Possession of a firearm
•Careless Storage of a firearm
•Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a firearm
28 year old, Kerick Hasani WILSON from Brantford is charged with:
•Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking (three counts)
•Possession of a firearm
•Careless storage of a firearm
•Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
64 year old, Daryl Howard MILLER from Brantford is charged with:
•Possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking (three counts)
•Possession of a firearm
•Careless storage of a firearm
•Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
During the search of the residence(s) officers seized a firearm, a large quantity of Canadian currency, a large quantity of Fentanyl with a street value of $10,695.20, and a large quantity of Cocaine with a street value of $36,204. Prescription medication was also seized with a street value of $165.
