The Brantford Police Service has continued the investigation into the stolen Historical Plaque since it was reported missing on March 20, 2019 from the monument at Bell Memorial Park located on West Street.

On March 25, 2019 just before 5:30 p.m. the Brantford Police Service received information about the whereabouts of a historical plaque. Community Patrol Officers following up on that information located and verified that it was the stolen Historical Plaque from Bell Memorial Park.  The plaque was located still fully intact, with minor damage to one corner.  The plaque was recovered and has since been returned to the City of Brantford.  The investigation remains open and no charges have been laid at this time.
