Male Arrested after False Bomb Threat

On Saturday November 24 at approximately 9:30 PM a male party attended a local business in the Stanley Street/ Dalhousie Street area claiming he had a bomb tied around his neck. Police attended and cordoned off the area and began negotiations with the male. As a precaution area businesses temporarily evacuated. It was quickly determined that the male had no real bomb and was arrested without incident.
A 40 year old man stands charged with numerous criminal offences related to this incident and has been since remanded in custody. Brantford Police would like to thank the local businesses for their cooperation during this investigation.
