Public Awareness: Child Safety Concerns

The Brantford Police Service received a report to advise that on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at approximately 10:30 a.m., an unknown, adult male had approached a teenage boy in the area of North Park Street between Memorial Drive and Fairview Drive.

The youth was walking when an unknown male, driving a motor vehicle, stopped and asked the boy to get in his car. When the boy refused, the suspect left the area, driving eastbound on Fairview Drive towards West Street. 

The suspect was described as: male, Caucasian, approximately 60 years old, bald, and clean shaven. 

The suspect vehicle was described as a blue, older model Honda Civic with tinted windows.

The Branford Police Service is asking that the community be made aware of this incident and are encouraging parents to educate their children about the dangers of interacting with strangers and to contact police should they observe any suspicious behavior.

The Brantford Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident and would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dash cam footage from the area at the time of the incident, to please contact the Brantford Police Service 519-756-7050.
