Two Arrested, Loaded Firearms and Illegal Drugs Seized

During the disturbance, one male was observed to display a firearm, which was pointed at another person.
Officers attended at the residence where the persons who were seen with the firearm entered. A short time later one male and one female were taken into custody.
As a result of the investigation a Criminal Code search warrant had been obtained and executed at the Diana Avenue residence. The BPS Emergency Response Team and K9 Unit provided assistance.
During the search of the residence, officers located and seized two loaded handguns and a quantity of illicit street drugs. Approximately 635 grams of suspected Psilocybin (mushrooms) with an estimated street value of $6,989, approximately 30 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $3,000, and a quantity of suspected Hydrocodone with an estimated street value of $500 were seized. Total estimated street value of the seized drugs is $10,489.
As a result of the investigation, Shyheim SLOWLY-BAILEY, male, 26, from Toronto, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences and was held for a bail hearing:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm x2
- Point firearm
- Uttering threats to cause death
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose x2
- Careless storage of firearm x2
- Careless use of a firearm, weapon, ammunition
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with ammunition x2
- Tampering with serial number of firearm
- Carry concealed weapon
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm x2
Jade ZECCA-MARTINS, female, 26, from Brantford, is
also facing the following drug related charges:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act - Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act - Hydrocodone
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule III, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act - Psilocybin
