Incident:   At around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday March 8, 2018 the accused was observed removing items from his pocket and hiding them in a flower pot outside the court house at 44 Queen Street. A Community Patrol Officer seized several items, one being a kitchen type knife with a 5 inch blade. The accused who had attended inside the court house was arrested for Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Breach of Probation. The accused a 26 year old Hamilton man was released on an appearance notice with a future court date.

Incident:   On Thursday March 8, 2018 a woman attended the Brantford Police Service to report being a victim of a fraud. The 55 year old Brantford woman advised that she had responded to an advertisement on Kijiji about purchasing an ?apple tv?. The woman electronically transferred $70.00 to an email provided to her after speaking to the man from the advertisement.  The victim was then advised that she could pick up the ?apple tv? at an address in Waterloo. When the woman attended the residential address in Waterloo she spoke to persons at the home and learned that they did not post an advertisement on kijiji and that she had been the victim of a scam.
