The Brantford Police Service is currently accepting applications for maintenance staff in the Administration Branch to assist on a special project, specific to the maintenance on the additional space required, in relation to the Brantford Police Service capital redevelopment project.
Hours: 40-hour work week with rotating shifts - days, evenings and weekends
Salary: $31.44 per hour plus vacation pay
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, the incumbent will predominantly provide custodial duties to maintain buildings, and grounds in compliance with accepted standards. This will also include some salting and minor snow removal may be required. These duties will require knowledge in inventory control, commercial cleaning techniques, the operation of mechanical floor cleaning equipment and WHMIS regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Secondary School Diploma
- Must possess an Ontario G Driver’s License and be able to proficiently operate general maintenance equipment
- Must be able to pass a background clearance

- Previous professional cleaning and general maintenance experience preferred
