26-year-old Brantford woman facing criminal harassment charges after brief lockdown at local high school

At approximately 10:20 a.m. this morning, a report of an unwanted person within North Park Collegiate Vocational School, on North Park Street was received by police. Out of an abundance of caution, the Brantford Police Service placed the school in a temporary lockdown. Officers quickly cleared the school and determined the subject had left the property. The lockdown was lifted at approximately 10:50 a.m.

No weapons were involved and at no time was there a threat to students’ safety. The individual was located nearby and placed under arrest. As a result, a 26-year-old female from Brantford stands charged with two counts of Criminal Harassment and has been held for a bail hearing.
