45-Year-Old Man Arrested for Impaired Driving After Call from Concerned Citizen

Officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested a 45-year-old man from Brantford after receiving a call from a concerned citizen alerting police to a possible impaired driver.
At approximately 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2025, officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the area of McMurray Street and Brant Avenue after receiving a call from a concerned citizen who observed the driver swerving and driving erratically. The caller was able to provide a description of the vehicle along with the license plate allowing officers to quickly locate the vehicle.
A traffic stop was conducted on Brant Avenue near Bedford Street. Speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The accused was transported to provide samples of breath as required by law. Samples provided were three times the legal limit.
As a result, the accused, a 45-year-old man from Brantford was arrested and stands charged with the following:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired, Blood Alcohol Concentration
In addition to the charges, the driver’s license of the accused was suspended, and the vehicle was impounded.
