BPS Arrest 28-year-old man for Attempted Murder after Violent Sexual Assault; Believe There May be Other Victims

Officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested 28-year-old, Alveen AHMAD, of Brantford after a violent physical and sexual assault.
On Sunday, July 13, 2025, at approximately 10:15 a.m., the Brantford Police Service received a report that a woman was located by an Ontario Provincial Police officer in the area of Golf Road near Highway 403, suffering serious injuries as a result of a physical and sexual assault. The officer was in the area for an unrelated incident.
The victim was transported to hospital for medical treatment and has been released. Victim Services of Brantford-Brant are involved.
Investigation revealed that the suspect was driving a pick-up truck and picked up the victim at a location near Queen and Darling Street. The suspect then drove to a location near Golf Road and Highway 403 where the victim was assaulted. The suspect then left the scene in the vehicle.
Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle in another jurisdiction. Through investigation, officers located and arrested the suspect at approximately 1:30 p.m., July 15, 2025.
The accused Alveen AHMED, stands charged with the Criminal Code offences of Attempt Murder, Assault with a Weapon, Kidnapping and Aggravated Sexual Assault. The accused is currently in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
The identity of the accused is being released as detectives believe there may be other victims who have yet to come forward. Additionally, the accused was known to drive a black 2022 Dodge Ram pick-up truck (shown below). The image of the accused’s vehicle is also being released in the hopes that any other victim may recognize his photograph or his vehicle and contact police.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
