BPS officers arrest male following day-time attempted robbery

On July 18, 2025 at approximately 5:50 p.m., Officers of the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the intersection of West Street and Farringford Drive following multiple reports of a male assaulting a taxi driver on the roadway.

Upon arrival, police located and arrested a 27 year-old male.

As a result of the investigation, the male has been charged with the following criminal offences:

-       Robbery

-       Assault with a Weapon

-       Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

-       Uttering Threats to Cause Death
