BPS Officers Investigate Sudden Death

Members of the Brantford Police Service are investigating a sudden death.

On Monday, October 13, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the area of Birkett Lane and River Road after receiving a report of a deceased male who was located within the walking trails near the embankment.

The deceased male has been identified. The investigation into the deceased individual has been turned over to the Office of the Chief Coroner, who will determine the cause and manner of death. As this is now a Coroner’s case, no further details will be released at this time.

This incident does not pose a risk to public safety. Officers do not have reason to believe this death is suspicious or criminal in nature.
