Brantford Police Service Arrest 42-year-old man in Intimate Partner Assault

On Sunday April 5, 2026, at approximately 5:00 am, officers with the Brantford Police Service received a call to report an intimate partner related assault and were dispatched to attend a Rawdon Street residence.
Investigation revealed that a verbal dispute between two individuals had escalated to physical violence.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was located at a nearby business and was arrested without incident.
Additionally, it was determined that the accused was wanted on the strength of two warrants with a neighbouring police service and was also in violation of a release order.
As a result of the incident, a 42-year-old man from Whitby stands charged with the following:
- Assault
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Assault with a weapon
- Assault causing bodily harm
- Forcible confinement
- Intimidation
- Failure to comply with order
