Downtown Core Engagement Response Team Arrest Brantford Man and Seize Illegal Drugs

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, at approximately 3:50 p.m., while conducting general foot patrol, officers with the Brantford Police Service Downtown Core Engagement Response Team observed a male in possession of illegal drugs in the area of Market Street and Dalhousie Street.

The accused was arrested and search incident to arrest located the following illegal drugs in his possession:

  • 17.5 grams of Fentanyl
  • 3.5 Grams of Crack Cocaine
  • 3.5 Grams of Crystal Meth
  • 153 Hydromorph Pills
  • Quantity of Canadian currency

The estimated street value of the illegal drugs was $9,600.

As a result, a 43-year-old man from Brantford was arrested and stands charged with five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. 

The accused was held for bail.
