Impaired Driver Arrested After Pickup Truck Crashes Into Local Business

On Saturday February 21st, 2026, shortly after 2:00 p.m., the Brantford Police Service responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at a Colborne Street business, where a pickup truck had crashed into a building. Upon arrival, officers found the vehicle partially embedded in the building after it pushed through the exterior wall. The collision caused significant damage to both the interior and exterior of the property.

As a result of further investigation, the driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:

• Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs, contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

•Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration, contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

The involved vehicle was impounded, and the driver was issued an Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension of 90 days. There were no reported injuries as a result of the collision.
