With the assistance of BPS K-9 Police Service Dog Mack, officers with the Brantford Police Service have arrested and charged a 21-year-old man wanted for residential break and enters in the city’s Henderson Survey area.
On Sunday, October 5, 2025, at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a call to a report an attempted break and enter at a Franklin Street residence. The accused was observed attempting to gain entry to the residence and the motor vehicles parked in the driveway. Because the homeowners had secured their residence and vehicles, the accused was not successful.
The accused attempted to flee from police by running through several backyards but was apprehended by Police Service Dog Mack while attempting to scale a fence.
The accused was identified as a suspect in another break and enter that occurred August 23, 2025, at a nearby Kingsway Crescent home. The accused had broken into the homeowner’s garage and stole several items.
As a result, a 21-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Trespassing by Night x 4
- Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence
- Break, enter a place, commit indictable offence
The Brantford Police Service would like to thank residents in the Henderson Survey area for their diligence in reporting suspicious behaviour. This arrest is reflective of ongoing police initiatives to ensure neighbourhood safety.
Residents can help protect their homes by keeping doors and windows locked, installing motion lights or cameras where possible, and promptly report any suspicious activity to police.
