WANTED: Dameon HUNTER

Brantford police are releasing the name and photograph of the individual wanted for a recent stabbing and are asking for information from the public to locate and arrest the suspect.

 

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, at approximately 2:40 p.m. officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a lodging home, located at Dalhousie Street near Brock Street after receiving a report of an injured male who had been assaulted.

 

Investigation determined that a verbal dispute between the victim and the suspect occurred before the victim was stabbed. The male suspect fled prior to police arrival and is wanted by police.  

 

Officers attended and located the victim who was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Through investigation, police have identified Dameon HUNTER, age 42, of Brantford, as the suspect wanted for this violent incident. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of HUNTER, who faces charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with probation, as a result of the incident.

 

If observed, do not approach the suspect, call police.
