BPS Officers Investigate After Motor Vehicle Collides with Building

At approximately 2:05 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2026, officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Shellard Lane and Colborne Street West after a vehicle collided with a building.

The male driver was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries. A woman who was inside the building was transported to hospital for minor injuries. 

 Colborne Street West between Shellard Lane and Lyndsay Street is currently closed to traffic in both directions while the investigation is underway. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Updates related to road closures will be posted on the Brantford Police Service social media accounts – Facebook and X.

Any witnesses, or anyone with information or footage of the collision is asked to contact the Brantford Police Service at 519-756-7050 and reference incident # 26-16763.
